Sky

Sky, a 2-bed 2-bath cottage, echoes the far-flung horizons of the North Norfolk countryside. Palest hues of blue, lavender and silver grey reflect the vast skies and the presence of the coastline just a few miles away.

A large living area boasts a contemporary L-shaped sofa and log burning stove in large open fireplace. The hand-built kitchen is painted coastal blue and offers a rustic table with elm bench and chairs, seating four.

Upstairs are the two bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms: one with kingsize bed and a huge walk-in shower with light pebble tiles, oversized console basin and a separate WC; the other with a superking/twin bed opening (no door) into our most generous bathroom, with cast iron roll top bath, WC, oversized console basin and pretty dressing table.

Sky is approx 100 sq metres and has free wifi, freesat TV, DVD player, digital radio with bluetooth speaker, dishwasher, hairdryer, central heating and access to washing machine/ironing. Towels, linens and logs provided.

Sky has a private terrace, with table and chairs, that gives onto the shared garden. There is off-road parking. Views to the front of Sky give across the garden onto open fields, to the back are views of the Hall and west barn.

Sky is a great base for enjoying big sky-beach vistas on a walk at Holkham, followed by a warming lunch at the Hoste Arms in Burnham Market (and shopping!).

"The four cottages at Sharrington Hall - Shell, Sky, Seal and Samphire - are like a Farrow & Ball colour chart. Each comes with its own palette of soft greys, pale lilacs and dusty pinks, muted and chic. With painted floorboards, claw-footed baths, deep butler's sinks and French linens on the beds, they're the country crashpads on your Pinterest page, the holiday hideaways of a rainy day's plans. Swoop into the local farmshop deli Back to the Garden just up the road at Letheringsett for supper's organic ingredients. On a summer evening you can stroll to the nearby strawberry farm, fill up your punnet, then slip freshly picked fruit into a glass of Prosecco and sit on the private terrace watching the sun go down."
